Yakutia Leader Pushes for Vaccination Campaign Intensification Amid ARVI Surge

Aisen Nikolaev, the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), convened a meeting with the leadership to address key tasks. The gathering focused on the ongoing vaccination campaign and the recent surge in acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI).

The vaccination plan for children stands at 75.8%, while adult vaccination lags behind at 45.7%. Nikolaev expressed concern about the rise in ARVI cases, which have increased by 10.3% across all age groups. He urged officials to intensify efforts to complete the vaccination campaign.

Nikolaev emphasized the importance of service contracts for high-tech medical equipment. He highlighted the need for stable, quality service to ensure the equipment's reliability. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Sakha is responsible for maintaining these high-tech devices.

Notably, the city of Mirny in the republic has not exceeded the epidemic threshold for ARVI morbidity among children under 6 years old. However, the epidemic threshold has been surpassed for the total population, adults, and schoolchildren aged 7 to 14.

The republic has received 100% of the planned vaccine volume for both children and adults. Aisen Nikolaev's meeting underscored the importance of providing high-tech medical aid and maintaining equipment in working order. With ARVI cases on the rise, the focus remains on completing the vaccination campaign to protect the public health.
