Yakutia Braces for Severe Weather: Gusty Winds and Snowstorms Expected
Residents of several districts in the Republic of Yakutia should brace for severe weather conditions over the next two days. Gusty winds and snowstorms are forecast, with speeds reaching up to 24 meters per second in some areas.
Starting January 28, the districts of Ust-Yansky, Allakhovsky, Nizhnekolymsky, Middle Kolymsky, Abyisky, and Bulunsky can expect winds up to 15-18 meters per second. Neryungrinsky district is also set to experience snowstorms with gusts up to 15-17 meters per second on the same day.
In certain areas of these districts, winds may even reach 19-24 meters per second. While the Yakutsk Hydrometeorological Center has not provided specific details about regions expecting winds up to 20 meters per second in the coming days, it is advised to stay updated with local forecasts.
On January 29, gusty winds are expected to continue, with speeds up to 15-20 meters per second in Ust-Yansky, Abyisky, Middle Kolymsky, Upper Kolymsky, and Bulunsky districts, as well as on the coast of the Anabar district. Residents are urged to take necessary precautions and stay informed about any changes in the weather situation.
