Yakutia Boosts Children's Tourism in 2024, Following Successful 2023
Yakutia's tourism sector has seen significant progress, with an interdepartmental working group formed to boost mobile children's tourism. The year 2023 brought awards for tourism workers, a focus on defining the ideal tourist, and over 240 million rubles in federal funding. As 2024 is declared the Year of Childhood, children's mobile tourism takes centre stage.
The Coordination Council for Tourism, led by Chairman Anatoly Semyonov, kicked off its work in Yakutia. Minister Timur Khandy presented the 2023 tourism results and plans for the first half of 2024. Tatyana Tymyrnova, heading the Association of Hospitality, implemented unified standards, enhancing service quality and industry reputation. Over 60 tourism events, including 11 TV stories, were held in 2023.
The successful development of Yakutia's tourism was noted, with a focus on determining the portrait of a potential tourist to attract more visitors. Gratitude letters were awarded to individuals and organizations for their significant contributions to tourism promotion.
With the declaration of 2024 as the Year of Childhood, children's mobile tourism will be a primary focus in Yakutia. The interdepartmental working group will implement projects to boost this sector. The tourism industry in Yakutia continues to grow, attracting federal funds and improving service quality, with plans for further development in the first half of 2024.
