Yakutia Weather Forecast: Cool August Ahead with Rain and Mild Temperatures
Residents of Yakutia are bracing for a cool August, according to general weather forecasts. Tatyana Marshalik, the head of Yakutia Hydrometcenter, has confirmed that the summer in Yakutia has been cool and this trend is expected to continue throughout the month.
Until Saturday, all regions will experience cold, cloudy weather under the influence of a cold Arctic mass. The southern, central, and eastern regions will still feel the warmth until Sunday, but a warm air mass is expected from Sunday, which may bring a few days of warm weather. Despite this upcoming warm air mass, warm, comfortable weather (up to 18-23 degrees Celsius) is expected on most of the republic next week, except for the northern regions.
August is expected to be slightly below normal in temperature, with temperatures fluctuating between highs of about 17-26°C (62-79°F) and lows around 6-14°C (43-57°F). Early August days are warmer, with a gradual cooling trend into the middle and late part of the month.
Frequent rain is expected, with about 19 rainy days forecasted in August. There are no snowy days predicted yet. Current conditions include light rain, scattered clouds, mild northerly winds, and temperatures around 54°F (12°C). This forecast suggests above-average rainfall for this August.
The cool weather has had some impact on the region. Overnight temperatures in low-lying areas of Yakutia were zero, and there were frosts in Lensky and Olekminsky districts. Some crops may not have grown for gardeners due to the cool weather. However, there should be no problems with haymaking in Yakutia, as there is plenty of grass for livestock.
Despite the cool weather, the rivers in Yakutia are full, with no low water levels. The air quality in Yakutia is cold but clean. People in Yakutia are collecting mushrooms, and fires have decreased due to the cool weather.
In the central regions, there will be weak, short-lived rains with thunderstorms in places. In the southern and northeastern regions, it is raining with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
