Yakut Educator Yelena Atlasova Wins Bronze in Traditional Archery Debut
Yelena Atlasova, a dedicated primary school educator from Ust-Aldan ulus, has made a remarkable debut in traditional archery. She recently won a bronze medal at the Ysyakh Olonkh in Neryungri, representing her team.
Atlasova's journey in archery began in February 2023, and her talent quickly became evident. At her first competition, the Spartakiade of education workers, she secured third place. Her coaches, Sergey Morozov and Elena Petrova, have been instrumental in her success.
Atlasova's prowess in archery has been recognised at various levels. She won micro-district competitions in Borogoncy and achieved the norm of a candidate for master of sports of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the republican tournament in Namtsy. Her teammate, Yelena Belolyubskaya, also earned a nomination for the master of sports title, reflecting the strength of their team.
