Yakut Athlete Ayal Sivtsev to Represent Austria in Paralympic Javelin Throw After Historic Shot Put Bronze

On October 5, Yakut athlete Ayal Sivtsev will represent Austria in the javelin throw event at the Paralympic Games. This comes after his historic bronze medal win in the shot put at the World Athletics Championships.

Sivtsev, a Yakut athlete, made history by securing the first-ever bronze medal for Yakut sport in the shot put event. He achieved this remarkable feat at the recent World Athletics Championships. In the final attempt, Sivtsev hurled the shot 11 meters 95 centimeters, a distance that proved decisive in clinching the bronze medal.

The competition was fierce, with the top 12 shot put athletes from around the world vying for the top spots. Nico Cappell of Germany emerged victorious, setting a new championship record with a throw of 13 meters 34 centimeters. Bobirjon Omонов of Uzbekistan came in second with an impressive throw of 12 meters 36 centimeters.

Now, Sivtsev is set to participate in the javelin throw event on October 5, representing Austria at the Paralympic Games. His exceptional performance in the shot put has raised expectations for his upcoming event.
