Yachtsmen from HABARO secured a total of 12 medals in the competition
In the bustling city of Vladivostok, the interregional sailing competitions "Кубок Семь футов" took place, attracting more than 130 athletes from Primorsky Krai, Khabarovsk Krai, and Sakhalin Oblast. The event featured more than ten sets of medals and cups contested in Olympic and children's and youth classes, including the "Optimist", "Laser 4.7", "Laser-Radial", and "420".
Among the impressive performances, the Khabarovsk Krai team stood out, collecting a total of 12 medals. The team's success was not limited to a single class, as three bronze medals were won by Khabarovsk athletes in the "Laser 4.7" and "Laser-Radial" classes.
In the "Laser 4.7" class, Andrei Stoliarenko clinched the regatta win, demonstrating his superior sailing skills. Meanwhile, Timur Melnikov secured a silver medal in the "Laser-Radial" class for youth and juniors under 12 years old.
The young talents of Khabarovsk also made their mark in the under-12 age group. Alexandra Napalchikova won a bronze medal, and Timur Melnikov's sister, Alexandra Kordumova, emerged victorious in the "Laser-Radial" class.
Tikhon Cherednichenko, another promising Khabarovsk sailor, took third place in the "Optimist" class for athletes under 16 years old, adding to the team's tally of podium finishes.
Stepan Belmach, a Khabarovsk athlete, also shone brightly, winning a regatta in the "Laser 4.7" class at the interregional sailing competitions "Кубок Семь футов".
While detailed results from the Far Eastern Federal District Championships in sailing for youth and juniors under 19 years old could not be found, the Khabarovsk Krai team's impressive performance at the interregional sailing competitions "Кубок Семь футов" is a testament to their dedication and skill. The team collected a total of 3 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals in the event, demonstrating their strong presence in the sailing world.
Despite the interregional sailing competitions primarily featuring Olympic and children's classes, the Khabarovsk Krai team excelled in another sport, as evidenced by their hockey triumph. In the hockey tournament held concurrently, the Khabarovsk team emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional teamwork and skill on the ice.
