Yacht Race at Sotogrande: Sun, Sea, and Sailing Vessels
Get ready for an exciting weekend of sailing and social events as the 26th Copa Sotogrande and the Andalusian ORC Championship are set to take place from August 8 to 10, 2025.
Hosted by Puerto Sotogrande and organised by the Real Club Marítimo Sotogrande (RCMS) and the Andalusian Sailing Federation, this event promises to be a highlight of Andalusia's nautical calendar.
The programme for the three-day event includes a variety of races for cruisers, monotypes, and catamarans. The racing for the Andalusian ORC Championship will take place on Saturday, August 9, starting at 1pm, and Sunday, August 10, from 12pm, in waters off the San Roque coast. The XI Memorial Antonio Muñoz Cabrero for catamarans will commence on Friday, August 8.
The Real Club Marítimo Sotogrande (RCMS) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting cruiser sailing and has confirmed that the racing will be overseen by the RCMS and the Andalusian Sailing Federation, ensuring a fair and competitive event.
Sailors from across Andalusia are invited to participate in the event. The weekend's activities will kick off with a participants' reception from 5pm to 8pm, followed by a welcome cocktail at 9pm at a marquee near the club.
The event will not only be a celebration of sailing but also a chance to enjoy social activities at the San Roque marina. The weekend will conclude with a closing lunch and awards ceremony on Sunday, August 10, for various categories.
Facilities in Puerto Sotogrande will accommodate sailors, their companions, and visitors. The event is expected to be a day of maritime beauty for the whole family.
