Xbox Partner Preview unveils 19 new games with 14 hitting Game Pass at launch
Microsoft's latest Xbox Partner Preview event highlighted a wide range of upcoming third-party titles. The showcase featured 19 games, with 14 set to launch on Game Pass from day one. Developers with strong Xbox histories took centre stage, presenting fresh projects across different genres.
The event kicked off with announcements from well-known studios. Supergiant Games confirmed Hades II will arrive on Xbox and PS5 next month. Fans of the original can expect the same fast-paced action with new characters and abilities.
**Sega** and **RGG Studio** introduced *Stranger Than Heaven*, a narrative-driven game exploring Japanese history across multiple eras. The team behind the *Yakuza* series is developing it, ensuring deep storytelling and rich world-building. For horror enthusiasts, **Rebellion** revealed *Alien Deathstorm*, a sci-fi horror experience slated for 2027. The studio, known for *Sniper Elite* and *Atomfall*, promises intense gameplay in a terrifying setting. Meanwhile, *Hunter: The Reckoning – Death Wish*, an action-RPG set in the *World of Darkness* universe, will launch in summer 2027 on Xbox and PC. Other standout titles included *Grave Seasons*, a cozy farming sim arriving on August 14, and *Forever Ago* from **Annapurna Interactive**, a relaxed road trip game coming this autumn. *Shatterverse*, a new entry for *Serious Sam* fans, will release later this year on Xbox, PS5, and PC. Additionally, *Orisis Reborn*, based on *The Expanse* universe, is set for spring 2027. Many of these developers—like **Owlcat Games**, the teams behind *Artificial Detective*, and **GSC Game World** (working on *S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2* DLC)—have long-standing ties to Xbox. Their games frequently appear on Game Pass, reinforcing their role as key multi-platform partners.
The Xbox Partner Preview event reinforced the platform's commitment to third-party collaborations. With 14 of the 19 showcased games arriving on Game Pass at launch, players will have immediate access to a diverse lineup. The mix of established franchises and new IPs suggests a strong year ahead for Xbox and its partners.
