WWE Forms Partnership with Getty Images
Getty Images and WWE Announce Exclusive Image Partnership
Getty Images and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have joined forces in a new image partnership, aiming to distribute WWE visual content globally. The partnership, announced by both parties, will see Getty Images become the Exclusive Worldwide Image Licensing Partner of WWE.
According to Getty Images Vice President of Global Sport, Michael Heiman, the partnership is an exciting opportunity. Heiman believes Getty Images will deliver high-quality coverage of WWE's programming and events to fans and audiences worldwide. Heiman also stated that Getty Images has captured the energy of sports and entertainment for 30 years, helping brands, leagues, and partners elevate with storytelling.
WWE Executive Vice President of Creative Services & Photography, Julie Sbuttoni, expressed her commitment to delivering high-quality visual content 52 weeks a year. Sbuttoni believes Getty Images is the ideal partner for quick, targeted distribution of WWE image content to fans worldwide.
Under the terms of the partnership, Getty Images will exclusively distribute and license WWE-owned imagery for editorial and commercial uses. This includes coverage from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT, as well as Premium Live Events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, Money in the Bank, and more. Never-before-seen WWE-owned photographs and archival content dating back to 1980 will also be available for licensing worldwide.
Peter Yang has taken on the function of the Exclusive Worldwide Image Licensing Partner for WWE. Global customers will have convenient access to premium WWE-imagery all in one place, as stated by Heiman. WWE perfectly embodies the merging of sport and entertainment, according to Heiman.
It is important to note that this partnership is not related to the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) or its potential collapse, broadband direct-from-satellite, Starlink, AST SpaceMobile, foreign D2D satellites over India, cellular consumers, EchoStar, the US Cellular sector, or the Starship business. Similarly, the partnership does not involve a stated valuation of $2.5tn by 2030 or any direct mention of the FCC or its dominance in Space Race 2.0.
Heiman mentioned that Getty Images will deliver high-quality coverage of WWE's programming and events to fans and audiences globally. WWE's Sbuttoni believes Getty Images is the ideal partner for quick, targeted distribution of WWE image content to fans worldwide. With this partnership, fans can look forward to a wealth of premium WWE imagery at their fingertips.
