Würzburg Basketball extends with coach until 2029 - Würzburg Baskets locks in coach Filipovski with historic three-year extension

Würzburg Baskets has extended head coach Saša Filipovski's contract for another three years. The deal keeps him at the club until 2029, making him the longest-serving coach outlet in its history. His leadership has brought consistent success in recent seasons.

Filipovski took charge of Würzburg Baskets in 2023. Since then, the team has reached the German Championship semifinals twice in a row. Despite strong performances, the club has not yet secured a national title.

Under his guidance, the team has also progressed in European competition. This season, they advanced to the Round of 16 in the Basketball Champions League. The contract renewal reflects the club's confidence in his ability to maintain this upward trend.

The new agreement ensures stability for Würzburg Baskets until 2029. Filipovski's record includes back-to-back semifinal appearances and European progress. His extended stay signals the club's ambition to build on recent achievements.
