WSOP-C Calgary Mini Main Event Smashes Records with 1,652 Entries

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) Calgary is witnessing an unprecedented surge in participation. The Mini Main Event, a 4-flight tournament, has already surpassed the previous record for such an event in Calgary, with over 1,652 entries and counting. The registration period is nearing its end, set to close in less than an hour.

The current prize pool stands at over $545,000, a testament to the event's popularity. This figure is expected to grow as the registration deadline approaches. The previous record for a 4-flight event in Calgary was 1,715 entries, set in January 2024. However, this year's Mini Main Event has already exceeded that number, with more than 1,652 entries logged over an hour before registration closes.

The Monster Stack flight event, which had two flights, previously held the record for the highest entry count with 850 participants. Yet, the Mini Main Event's 4-flight structure seems to have attracted even more poker enthusiasts, setting a new benchmark for WSOP-C Calgary.

With registration for the Mini Main Event ending soon, the final entry count and prize pool are eagerly anticipated. The event has already made history with its impressive turnout, reflecting the growing interest in poker tournaments in Calgary.
