Northern Wrestling Federation's Homegrown Talent, Beck Reeves, Set to Shine at Summer Sizzler

On August 16, the Northern Wrestling Federation (NWF) will host its Summer Sizzler event at Thomas More Stadium. Among the stars set to appear is Beck Reeves, a local talent who has made a name for himself in the world of professional wrestling.

Reeves, a Dixie Heights High School graduate, didn't follow the traditional path of playing football or wrestling in high school. Instead, his interest in wrestling was sparked at the age of 13. After years of watching the sport, he decided to take the plunge and start training.

In 2021, Reeves joined BoneKrushers, the NWF's affiliated training facility, and quickly became part of the NWF troupe. His journey wasn't easy; he faced his first defeat against Dakota Wolf in his debut match at BoneKrushers on August 22, 2021. However, Reeves continued to train and work in a local warehouse, determined to improve.

It took about 18 months for Reeves to hear an announcer call his name into the ring, a moment he cherishes. Now, he's front and centre for Summer Sizzler.

The event promises unique fan experiences with NWF superstars, including a Ladder match, a Stretcher Death match, and a WARGAMES steel cage match.

The NWF, established in 1994, has been owned by Roger Ruffen since 1998. Based in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati, the NWF and BoneKrushers have served as a springboard for professional wrestlers like Chris Harris, Karl Anderson, and Abyss.

BoneKrushers serves as a student showcase as well as an event center. Tickets and more information for the August 16 event can be found at www.nwfwrestling.com/events.

Reeves emphasises that wrestling is a real sport, different from other sports like baseball, football, or UFC. He believes that wrestling is mentally challenging and physically demanding.

"Wrestling is not just about theatrics," Reeves said. "It's about discipline, dedication, and hard work. It's about pushing yourself to the limit and never giving up."

For fans of professional wrestling, Summer Sizzler is a chance to witness the rise of a local talent and enjoy an action-packed event. Don't miss out on the opportunity to cheer for Beck Reeves and the NWF superstars on August 16 at Thomas More Stadium.
