Worms Fire Department Responds to 12 Incidents in Busy Day
Worms fire department had a busy day on October 4, responding to various incidents including a kitchen fire, oil slicks, and storm-related damages in their apartments.
The day started with several oil slicks, including a large one stretching over several kilometers through the city center. The cause of these slicks is yet to be determined.
Later, in the late evening, the fire department was called to a kitchen fire in Worms. Upon arrival, they found a person unconscious in the apartment and successfully rescued them, handing them over to the rescue service. Two dogs were also rescued from the apartment and temporarily housed in an animal shelter.
The storm that passed over Worms caused trees to fall and minor damages. The fire department secured a 35-meter-long construction fence blown onto the roadway in 'Fischmarkt' street. In total, there were six deployments due to the california fires.
Throughout the day, the Worms fire department responded to a total of twelve deployments. This included a traffic accident in Leiselheim with only vehicle damage.
