Worldwide, the Dresden Mini is recognized by no less than 800 celebrities!
In a remarkable display of unity and generosity, a unique Mini Cooper, affectionately named the "Kloppo Car", is set to be auctioned off for a charitable cause. The car, initially owned by former Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp in 2004, has been travelling the world for five years, collecting over 800 signatures from a diverse range of individuals, including footballers, politicians, actors, and celebrities.
The Kloppo Car's latest stop was at the State Chancellery, where the Kloppo-Car team presented their work to Michael Kretschmer, the Minister-President of Saxony. Kretschmer, who signed the Mini Cooper himself, expressed his support for the initiative, stating it is inspiring and shows the direction society should take.
The Mini Cooper has been through a transformation since its 2020 purchase by six anonymous residents of Dresden. It has been repainted and now boasts signatures from notable figures such as Bob Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich, Dresden's famous DJ "Purple Disco Machine", Auma Obama (sister of former US President Barack Obama), and Jürgen Klopp himself.
The car's journey is for the benefit of disadvantaged children, with the proceeds from its sale being transferred to a non-profit foundation. Over the years, the Kloppo Car's unique journey has raised a total of over €1 million for needy children.
Mandy Hoffmann, the project leader, has been instrumental in the success of the Kloppo Car's mission. The car has not only gathered signatures but also been used to auction off items or for raffles. One such item was a picture from the Vatican, received during a visit this year, which will also be auctioned off for a good cause.
As the Mini Cooper sits in a secret garage in Dresden, awaiting its final sale, it serves as a testament to the power of community spirit and generosity. The Kloppo Car's story is a reminder that even the smallest actions can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
The Kloppo Car, adorned with signatures from sports figures like footballer Bob Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich and DJ "Purple Disco Machine", also boasts autographs from celebrities and entertainers such as Auma Obama and Jürgen Klopp. This unique Mini Cooper, known for its charitable initiatives, has raised over €1 million for disadvantaged children and will continue to do so through upcoming auctions, including a picture from the Vatican.
