Worldwide 'Movie Weeks' Event by BTS Scheduled for September
South Korean pop sensation BTS is set to return to active group activities with a two-week theatrical event titled "BTS Movie Weeks". This event, presented by Trafalgar Releasing in partnership with HYBE, will celebrate BTS' legendary live performances across multiple iconic tours.
During the first week, from Sept. 24 to Oct. 1, audiences can enjoy remastered versions of two of BTS' most celebrated concert films. "BTS 2016 Live the Most Beautiful Moment in Life On Stage: Epilogue Remastered" and "BTS 2017 Live Trilogy Episode III the Wings Tour the Final Remastered" will be screened. The second week, from Oct. 2 to Oct. 5, will feature "BTS 2019 World Tour 'Love Yourself: Speak Yourself' London Remastered" and "BTS 2021 Muster Sowoozoo Remastered".
Muster Sowoozoo, BTS' innovative pivot to digital during the pandemic, attracted over 1.33 million paid viewers from 195 countries. This highly anticipated return to live performances was not limited to virtual screens, as BTS also conducted live tours in seven cities in 2021, although the specific locations have not been disclosed.
The "Wings Tour" encompassed 40 shows across 19 cities in North and South America and Asia. One of the most memorable moments of this tour was BTS' two consecutive sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium on June 1 and 2, 2019, drawing over 120,000 fans.
Since their 2013 debut, BTS have shattered numerous records and collected six No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 singles since 2020. The group has been recognised with accolades including Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards.
The screenings will feature 4K visual remastering and 5.1 channel surround sound, ensuring an immersive and high-quality viewing experience for fans. The event will screen four of BTS' most celebrated concert films in over 2,000 theaters across 65+ territories.
In addition to the concert films, the "BTS Movie Weeks" will also include concert marathons available in selected cinemas. The event will culminate on Oct. 5, marking the end of this two-week theatrical celebration of BTS' live performances.
BTS have also revealed plans to unveil new music in spring 2026, accompanied by a world tour. With all seven members of BTS reunited following completion of their mandatory military service, fans can look forward to a new era of music and live performances from the global phenomenon.
