World Series Game 6: Blue Jays Aim for Lead, Dodgers Eye Game 7

The World Series returned to Toronto for Game 6, with the roof closed due to rain. The Blue Jays, fresh from a three-day break after their ALCS victory, welcomed back designated hitter George Springer. Meanwhile, the Dodgers, who had six days off after their NL pennant sweep, are contemplating lineup changes. Shohei Ohtani aims to shake off a cold bat.

Toronto's Davis Schneider ignited the team with a home run off Blake Snell's first pitch, giving the Blue Jays a 3-2 series lead in these crazy games. The team had three days to rest and prepare after their seven-game ALCS win over Seattle. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who pitched a four-hitter in Game 5, will start for the Dodgers in Game 6. This is the first World Series complete game since 2015. Manager Dave Roberts is considering various roles for Shohei Ohtani in a potential Game 7, including opener, reliever, or outfielder. Notably, Schneider went barefoot in Rogers Centre the day before Game 6.

With the series tied at 3-3, Game 6 promises strategic decisions from both managers. The Blue Jays, with Springer back in the lineup, aim to take the lead in these games. The Dodgers, with Yamamoto on the mound, look to force a Game 7. Ohtani's role remains uncertain but could significantly impact the outcome of these mlb scores.
