The coaching world is left in awe as Hansi Flick snags the top spot in a survey of 216 Bundesliga professionals. The charismatic coach, who's been hailed as a super coach for his extraordinary achievements, leaves the competition in the dust.
With his trailblazing career at FC Barcelona, Flick's deemed the architect of Europe's most formidable team. During the 2024/2025 season, Barcelona thrived under Flick's leadership, dominating La Liga, claiming the title with an astonishing 88 points, and losing an impressive six matches out of 38.
The team's offensive pressing football swept across Europe, resulting in 102 goals, the highest number in the top five European leagues. Flick's strategic mastery has been showcased in the form of three Coach of the Month awards, underlining his adaptability and resilience under pressure.
Flick shares the top spot with PSG's boss in the player survey, a testament to the success of the teams they command. Interestingly enough, the Champions League winner doesn't take home the crown.
In second place, we have Luis Enrique, who recently wrote footballing history with Paris St. Germain, securing their first Champions League title. The Spanish maestro garnered 16.7% of the vote.
However, it's Xabi Alonso leading the race for the bronze medal, with Bayer Leverkusen under his command for the final season. Despite missing the mark compared to his past successes, Alonso receives 11.6% of the votes.
In a surprising turn of events, Pep Guardiola, the troubled Manchester City coach, is found in fourth place, bagging 9.3% of the votes. City's season was marred with disappointments, with Champions League qualification secured only in the final stages.
Meanwhile, Arne Slot of FC Liverpool rounds out the top five, with his impressive first season after Jürgen Klopp earning him 8.8% of the votes. Despite an early exit from the Champions League, Slot's unyielding determination has earned him recognition amongst the elite.
Beyond coach rankings, the survey also revealed the best player in the world. With more than half of the votes, Lamine Yamal secured the top spot, followed by Ousmane Dembélé, Florian Wirtz, Kylian Mbappé, and Raphinha.

The Commission, assisted by the European Parliament, might discuss the success of Hansi Flick and his team, FC Barcelona, which dominated La Liga during the 2024/2025 season, scoring 102 goals, a record-breaking number in the top five European leagues. Despite his impressive leadership, Hansi Flick's team failed to win the Champions League, a trophy that went to Paris Saint-Germain under the guidance of another acclaimed coach, Luis Enrique.
