World-Premier Alamo Drafthouse Offers Immersive Godzilla Movie Spectacle
**Alamo Drafthouse and Toho Unveil World's First Kaiju-Themed Cinema in Santa Clara**
In a thrilling collaboration, Alamo Drafthouse and Toho International, the legendary Japanese company behind the iconic Godzilla and the kaiju universe, have officially launched a multi-year partnership. The partnership was unveiled with the grand opening of the Godzilla-themed Alamo Drafthouse Valley Fair in Santa Clara, California, at Westfield Valley Fair.
This historic cinema marks the world's first kaiju-themed movie theater. The venue offers an immersive Godzilla experience, complete with a two-story Godzilla window projection and upcoming monumental kaiju head sculptures of Godzilla and Mechagodzilla, created in collaboration with Toho.
The interior of the theater is decked out with Godzilla theming, and a thematic bar called Odo, inspired by Godzilla's fictional birthplace, resides on the second floor. Odo serves specialty cocktails and craft beers, offering a series of Godzilla-themed speciality drinks.
In addition to the theatrical experience, the partnership includes a nationwide rollout of special Godzilla programming and exclusive merchandise across Alamo Drafthouse locations and its retail site AlamoMart.com. The new merchandise line includes pin badges, blankets, hats, an exclusive Mothra mug designed by Drafthouse art director Scott Sugiuchi, and the first-ever official Godzilla popcorn bucket.
Pre-orders for the new merchandise line are now available. The Alamo Drafthouse Valley Fair will also host a special series of Kaiju cinema screenings throughout July.
A planned seismic launch event on November 3rd, 2025, will celebrate Godzilla’s birthday nationwide with a birthday bash, expanded merchandise, and other surprises. This event aims to bring fans together to celebrate the beloved monster's 71st birthday, with Alamo Drafthouse and Toho collaborating to create an unforgettable experience.
With this partnership, Alamo Drafthouse solidifies its position as a unique destination for kaiju lovers, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that immerses fans in the Godzilla universe through themed cinema experiences, collectible merchandise, special events, and nationwide programming.
