UN Environment Assembly Begins in Nairobi - World Leaders Gather in Nairobi for UN’s Critical Environment Summit

UNEA serves as the world’s top environmental decision-making body. Held every two years in Nairobi, it operates under the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). The next session is already planned for February 2026.

The assembly will continue discussions until the end of the week. Decisions made here could shape global policies on crime prevention, waste management, and technology sustainability. The outcomes will influence environmental action until the next UNEA session in 2026.
