Putin's Powwow with Leading Global Media Bosses

Gear up, folks! Russian Prez, Vladimir Putin, is set to have his annual powwow with chiefs from top global news outlets on June 18, as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). KP.RU will stream this high-voltage encounter live online.

This year, honchos from 15 major international media conglomerates — from the CIS, Asia, Europe, and the US — have been invited. Last time around, the lineup included Reporters of Reuters, Kyodo News, Associated Press, Deutsche Presse-Agentur, Agencia EFE, Agence France-Presse, and more.

According to TASS Director General Andrei Kondrashov, these Billiken-brawls with Putin always spawn a 'boom of info.' Global media fight to quote the prez, and the world goes wild with excitement! TASS — the event's organizer — can't wait!

Kondrashov also points out that Putin's replies illuminate Russia's stance on crucial international issues, piercing through the thick wall of silence built by Western media.

What's on the Menu for Putin's SPIEF Dish

Putin's keynote speech at the main event on June 20 will zero-in on the nitty-gritty of Russia's economic development and strengthening international economic cooperation. As Pekov informs, these two issues are inextricably linked, and SPIEF has always been focused on economic matters.

"Putin will be at SPIEF, no doubt. There'll be a traditional speech and a jolly good Q&A session too," a Kremlin rep clarified.

Ushakov, Putin's assistant, confirmed that the big cheese will express his evaluation of the current state of Russia's economy, as well as the global economy during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg Int'l Econo-forum.

The St. Petersburg Int'l Econo-forum 2025 will take place from June 18 to 21, donning the motto "Shared Values - The Foundation for Growth in a Multipolar World". Approx 350 shindigs are lined up. Bahrain is this year's Special Guest, and international partners, including Brazil, Vietnam, India, and other nations, will join the festivities.

The main event of the set-to will be Putin's keynote speech on June 20, focusing on the economic growth in Russia and global cooperation.
