Julieta Sanz Shines at International and National Competitions
Julieta Sanz, a 16-year-old athlete from Alfaz del Pi, has been making waves in the world of finswimming and lifesaving. Representing both her hometown and the Comunitat Valenciana, Sanz has amassed an impressive collection of medals across various competitions.
At the recent World Cup, Sanz finished in 10th place in the 200m bi-fins, 12th place in the 100m bi-fins, and an impressive 4th place in the mixed relay. In addition, Sanz added an international medal to her collection by securing a bronze medal in the women's 4x100m surface relay.
Sanz's success didn't stop at the World Cup. At the Spanish national competition, she won bronze in the mixed relay for the Comunitat Valenciana in the team event. In the regional championships, Sanz won gold in the 4x200m surface relay, took silver in the 100m and bronze in the 200m, and also claimed silver in the mixed relay.
In the Spanish Beach Championships, Sanz continued her winning streak, securing bronze in both flags and sprint relay, and silver in the mixed ocean relay. At the regional championships, Sanz also won silver in the 100m and bronze in the 200m, and gold in the 4x50m medley relay, bronze in the mixed 4x50m lifesaver relay, and gold in the beach sprint relay.
Sanz's achievements extend beyond the pool and beach. In an event with Club Leucante, she won silver in the 100m manikin tow with fins and bronze in the 100m lifesaver. Sanz trains with Club Babel in finswimming and Club Leucante in lifesaving, honing her skills in both disciplines.
Looking ahead, Sanz has set new goals for herself in the upcoming seasons. Her focus is on improving her performance and achieving higher rankings in international competitions. She aims to enhance her speed and technique in finswimming events while also working on rescue skills and efficiency in lifesaving disciplines.
