In the ongoing World Athletics Championships, Endiorass Kingley from Austria made a splash with his record-breaking performance in the triple jump.

Kingley's second qualifying jump, a distance of 16.85 meters, not only secured his spot in the final but also set a new Austrian record. This impressive leap was the second of three qualifying jumps for the athlete.

Despite a slightly shorter third jump, Kingley's second attempt was more than enough to secure his place in the final, which will take place on Friday at 13:50.

The men's long jump final saw Tajay Gayle from Jamaica and Shi Yuhao from China take second and third places with jumps of 8.34 meters and 8.33 meters respectively. Mattia Furlani from Italy clinched the gold with a jump of 8.39 meters.

In other events, Faith Cherotich secured a victory for Kenya in the women's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 8:51.59. Katie Moon also continued her winning streak in the women's pole vault, claiming her third consecutive title with a height of 4.90 meters.

Meanwhile, Isaac Nader from Portugal won the men's 1500m with a time of 3:24.10, just two hundredths of a second ahead of Jake Wightman. Reynold Cheruiyot took bronze in the same event.

Kingley's coach for the triple jump at the World Championships is Roland Werthner, supported by Christian Taylor, the four-time world champion and two-time Olympic champion in triple jump. Taylor was in the audience, cheering for Kingley.

Kingley attributed his record-breaking jump to a shorter last step before the board, which helped him carry more speed into the jump. The athlete expressed his excitement about making it to the final and hopes to add to his performance.

Caroline Bredlinger, another Austrian athlete, had a challenging path to the World Championship. More information about her journey will be shared in future reports.

As the Championships continue, Kingley, along with many other athletes, is looking forward to pushing their limits and making history.
