South Africa will be the stage for the 23 flagship matches. As the hosts of a successful ICC Men's Cricket World Cup in 2003, three iconic stadiums will play host to the World Cup. Let's take a look at these historic grounds:
Boland Park - Paarl
Six matches will go down in Boland Park during the group stage. The tournament will kick off in Paarl, with Australia facing New Zealand in the first match. Two days later, the White Ferns will square off against South Africa. A total of three doubleheaders will be played at the venue, including Australia vs New Zealand, England vs West Indies on February 11, and England vs Ireland on February 13. On February 19, New Zealand will lock horns with Sri Lanka, while Pakistan will clash with West Indies. This venue will host double the number of matches compared to the 2003 Men's Cricket World Cup.
St George's Park Cricket Ground - Gqeberha
Defending champions Australia will be opting for St George's Park as their home ground, with three out of four matches taking place here. A match to watch out for is the Valentine's Day showdown between Australia and Bangladesh. Around 19,000 spectators are expected to pack the stadium for five matches during the Women's T20 World Cup 2023. Australia will take on South Africa and Sri Lanka in Group A, before turning their attention to Group B with England's match against India on February 18. Ireland and India's championship match will take place on February 19.
Newlands Cricket Ground - Cape Town
The month ends on a high note, with the winner's trophy being handed out in the breathtaking Newlands setting. The final, the opening match, and both semi-finals will be played here. With a seating capacity of 25,000, the stadium is expected to be packed for 12 amazing matches. The fixtures are set for:
- South Africa vs Sri Lanka on February 10
- India's group stage clash against Pakistan on February 13
