Hilo Braddahs 14U Little League Baseball Team Prepares for Babe Ruth World Series

A 14U Little League baseball team from Hilo, Hawaii, named the Hilo Braddahs, has qualified for the Babe Ruth World Series. The team, which consists of 16 players, went undefeated in the regional tournament and will be representing their community and supporters in Hot Springs, Arkansas from August 7 to August 17.

Coached by Naipo, who considers coaching a privilege rather than a sacrifice, the team has already made history and is ready to compete in the World Series. Naipo, who has 20 years of military service and over a decade of youth baseball coaching experience, balances his demanding military job with coaching, similar to many parents involved.

The team's goal is to put Hilo on the map and compete in the World Series despite being a small team from a small town. Janson-Wade Keanu, one of the players, expressed that representing their state and town means a lot to them. Some players on the team will be experiencing their first time leaving Hawaii and traveling to the mainland.

The players are juggling the start of school, as some have already returned, while others will begin this week. Missing the first two weeks of school to compete at the World Series adds to the pressure, but the team is determined to succeed.

The team is seeking donations to help ease the financial burden on their parents and coaches. Interested individuals can donate directly through the team's GoFundMe at www.gofundme.com by searching for "Hilo Braddahs."

For more information, contact Daniel Farr at [email protected]. The team's dream is to compete in the World Series, and with the support of their community, they believe they can make it happen.

The World Series will feature teams from around the globe, including international teams from Nigeria, Mexico, New Zealand, and the Philippines. The Hilo Braddahs are excited to compete against these teams and showcase their skills on the national stage.

Naipo and the players are grateful for the community's support and are looking forward to the next chapter of their journey. They are ready to represent Hilo and make their mark on the World Series.

The Hilo Braddahs qualified after winning the Babe Ruth Pacific Southwest Regional final on July 26 in California. The estimated cost per player and coach to attend the World Series is around $3,300. The team has already returned to Hilo and is preparing for their upcoming games.

Let's show our support for the Hilo Braddahs and help them achieve their dream of competing in the Babe Ruth World Series. Go Braddahs!

The Hilo Braddahs, representing their community and supporters, aim to make a mark on the World Series as they prepare for the Babe Ruth World Series. With the goal of showcasing their skills on the national stage and competing against international teams, they are determined to bring honor to their small town in Hilo, Hawaii.
