Team departures at Meghan and Harry: Four staff members exit their employment - Worker Fleeing from Meghan and Harry's Estate

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan's team seems to be undergoing a dramatic makeover once again. News breakers, like Deadline, have reported that four employees have taken their exit from the royal couple, with team members from both US and UK on the chopping block.

Turmoil at the Top: High Staff Turnover

These latest personnel changes follow the arrival of Meredith Maines as the couple's Chief Communications Officer. With a track record at Google, Hulu, and American Idol, Maines aims to revamp the Sussexes' communication strategy. Notably, Meghan has also taken on Sarah Fosmo, the former assistant to tech mogul Bill Gates, as her Chief of Staff.

MONEY MATTERS 💸

Earlier, Emily Robinson led communications, supported by an external team. Ashley Hansen, the global press spokesperson, left the team last year to set up her own PR firm - with Harry and Meghan as her sought-after clients.

Among the leaving crew, Deadline reveals Kyle Boulia, the deputy press secretary, and Charlie Gipson, the British press officer, are parting ways. They joined the team in March 2024.

This latest staff shuffle only reinforces the high turnover within the Sussexes' entourage. Since their departure from the British royal family in 2020 spring, no less than 22 employees have reportedly bid farewell to the team, with six leaving in the past two months alone.

Strategy or Stress?

During the Sussexes' stint in Blighty, they faced recurring upheaval among their staff. Whether the current restructuring is part of a long-term plan or stemming from internal frictions remains unclear. However, it's crystal clear that Harry and Meghan aren't resting on their laurels and continue to rope in new talent to strengthen their media and entertainment presence.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan continue to expand their media and entertainment presence, with news breakers like Deadline reporting on the latest additions to their team, including Meredith Maines from Google, Hulu, and American Idol as their Chief Communications Officer.

With a high staff turnover, including the departure of Kyle Boulia and Charlie Gipson from social-media and entertainment circles, the Sussexes maintain a strategic approach to their celebrity brand, regardless of whether these changes stem from stress or long-term planning.
