Wordle Solution Unveiled for August 11th (Monday): Clues and Reveal

In the daily word puzzle game known as Wordle, the hidden word for today is SOUTH. The Wordle Bot started the game with the word SLATE, but the player managed to guess the correct word in fewer attempts thanks to a strong opening guess of FLAME.

After the word FLAME, 502 words remained, and there were no yellow or grey boxes, indicating that all the letters in the correct position were guessed correctly. The feedback for each guess includes green (correct letter and spot), yellow (correct letter but wrong spot), and grey (incorrect letter).

The player's score currently stands at 3 points. The Wordle Bot took the lead in August with a score of 5 points, but the player managed to close the gap. In Competitive Wordle, the player gets 1 point for guessing in three attempts, 1 point for beating the Bot, and -1 point for losing to the Bot and 0 for guessing in four.

The hint for today's Wordle is: "You won't find the north star here." The word SOUTH comes from Old English sūþ, meaning "sunward" or "toward the sun." It ultimately derives from the Proto-Indo-European root sunn-, meaning "sun."

As the player progressed, the number of words was reduced to just 10 with the elimination of the word CHOIR. The player can follow the author for daily puzzle-solving guides, TV show and movie reviews, and more on this blog.

Wordle is played worldwide, and some people play Competitive Wordle against friends, family, the Wordle Bot, or others. The author's starting word for today is FLAME, which the Wordle Bot analysed as a strong opening guess.
