Women's foursome from PV Triathlon Witten preparing to assault the podium
The PV Triathlon TG Witten is set to compete in the second start of the Triathlon Bundesliga, with a focus on young athletes from their region. The team, which had a disappointing 15th place finish in the Kraichgau, is now looking to make amends in the upcoming race.
Team manager Thomas Fehrs had predicted beforehand that the team would not reach for the stars this season. However, with the addition of some new talent, the team is hopeful for a better performance.
Rachel Klamer, the fourth-place finisher at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, will lead the Witten women's team. She will be joined by other Dutch women, including Merel Veltman, Babette Rosman, and Bianca Bogen, a former national team athlete and mother of two who has returned to top form. Together, they finished second behind SSF Bonn Triathlon in the Kraichgau, providing a solid foundation for their title defense.
The Witten women are the reigning German team champions and are the clear favourites for the upcoming race. Lukas Meckel, a local talent, will also be part of the men's team for the race on Saturday. Maximilian Sperl is another member of the men's team, with Samuel Linsenmeier, known for his long-distance events, also competing.
A mid-table finish is a realistic goal for the men's team from PV Triathlon TG Witten in the upcoming race. The team will have to compete against some of the top contenders in the Bundesliga, such as EJOT Team TV Buschhütten, ERDINGER Alkoholfrei Team, TV Lemgo, SCC Berlin, and M1 Pro Team Deutscher.
The race will be broadcast live on the German Triathlon Bundesliga's YouTube channel starting at 1:40 PM. Richard Murray, a seasoned international triathlete now competing for the Netherlands, will also participate in the men's race on Saturday.
As the team prepares for the race, the focus remains on young athletes and the pursuit of improved performance. With the talent on display, fans can expect an exciting race from the PV Triathlon TG Witten.
The PV Triathlon TG Witten's focus on young athletes continues, as they aim to showcase their improved performance in sports during the second start of the Triathlon Bundesliga. Lukas Meckel, a local talent, will be among the young athletes representing the men's team.
