Women surpass Pakistan's total of ODI centuries by a single player, as a senior batter achieves the milestone against South Africa.

In the thrilling encounter between Pakistan and South Africa, it was Sidra Amin who stole the show with a brilliant century. Amin, who batted at No.3, reached three figures with a single off the final ball of the 44th over, finishing the innings unbeaten on 121 off 150 balls.

Amin's innings marked her fifth ODI hundred, a tally that now surpasses every other Pakistani woman player combined. Her last century in an ODI was scored in 2023 against New Zealand in Queenstown.

Amin's partner in the second wicket stood tall as well, with Muneeba Ali contributing 78 runs to their 149-run partnership. Muneeba Ali, who has played 50 matches, also added a century to her tally, making it her first and only ODI hundred.

Their impressive performance helped Pakistan set South Africa a challenging target of 256 runs. The table below provides a summary of the number of ODI hundreds, matches played, and runs scored by Sidra Amin, Javeria Khan, Muneeba Ali, and Nain Abidi:

| Player | ODI Hundreds | Matches Played | Runs Scored | |--------|--------------|----------------|-------------| | Sidra Amin | 5 | 75 | 2,099 | | Javeria Khan | 2 | 116 | 2,885 | | Muneeba Ali | 1 | 50 | 1,265 | | Nain Abidi | 1 | 87 | 1,625 |

Javeria Khan, the other player with more than one ODI century to her name, has two unbeaten centuries, both against Sri Lanka, with a three-year gap between them. Nain Abidi, who hit the first hundred by a woman for Pakistan in 2012, against Ireland, scored 101* in her only ODI hundred.

The table also shows that Suzie Bates is second to Lanning, having scored 13 ODI hundreds, while Tammy Beaumont is fourth with 12. Meg Lanning, the Australian captain, holds the record for the most women's ODI centuries, with 15 across her 11-year career.

The match, which took place in Lahore, saw a dramatic start with Shawaal Zulfiqar being dismissed by Ayabonga Khaka in the second over. Despite this early setback, Pakistan managed to recover and put up a formidable total on the board. The score was 150-2 in the 31st over of the innings when the report was last filed.

The South African team will now have their task cut out as they look to chase down the target set by Pakistan. The match promises to be an exciting one, with both teams displaying impressive batting performances. Stay tuned for more updates.
