In the Second Leg, which took place on August 8, Vietnam emerged victorious over the Philippines, although the exact scores are not specified. The next match for Alas Pilipinas is against Thailand on August 9, followed by a match against Indonesia on August 10.

In the first leg of the tournament, held in Thailand, the Philippines finished with a 1-2 record and won the bronze medal. Angel Canino was honoured as the Best Outside Hitter of Leg 1. The competition was fierce, with Thailand and Vietnam standing out as top teams. Thailand and Vietnam went on to compete for the title in Leg 2, while the Philippines aimed to improve and maintain their podium presence.

The Philippines' team lineup includes key players such as Angel Canino, Bella Belen, and Eya Laure, among others.

During the match against Vietnam, Alas Pilipinas struggled in the third set, mirroring its first-set effort. The match ended in a 3-0 sweep in favour of Vietnam (25-14, 30-28, 25-22). The second set was a closely fought battle, with the Philippines showing resilience and mounting a 12-5 comeback to tie the set at 19-all. Despite the defeat, the team remains optimistic and is looking forward to their next match against Thailand. The match is scheduled for less than 24 hours later on Saturday, August 9, at 8 pm. The team will be aiming to learn from their mistakes and come back stronger against their Southeast Asian rivals.
