Woman Named Carmen Spotted in Local Park

**"Get your opera fix by the Rhine!" is the call to action for the highly anticipated event that kicks off at 7:30 PM on Saturday night. This is the fourth time this popular spectacle unfolds in Düsseldorf, yet it remains a premiere as it partners with D.Live at the Rheinpark for a live broadcast. Goetz Alsmann hosts the evening, and best of all, admission is free.

Under the baton of General Music Director Axel Kober, a roster of eleven soloists, the choir of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and the Düsseldorf Symphony Orchestra will take center stage, performing highlights from ten diverse operas. With an expansive stage over 200 square meters and two LED walls, you'll catch all the action from a distance.

The lineup boasts a riveting mix of genres: Verdi, Rossini, Giordano, Bizet, Delibes, and even a sneak peek at Wagner's "Parsifal." Expect scenes from Rossini's "Guillaume Tell," Verdi's "Rigoletto," "Macbeth," and "Nabucco," as well as arias and duets from "Carmen," "Les Pêcheurs des Perles," and more. The Flower Duet from Delibes' opera "Lakmé" and Dalila's seduction aria "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix" from Saint-Saëns' "Samson et Dalila" promise to be highlights.

Keep in mind that seating is limited, and reservations aren't available in front of the stage. Showtime is 5:30 PM, with entry starting then. For a more relaxed vibe, bring picnic blankets, camping chairs, and settle in on the surrounding meadows to savor the opera's melodies under the sunset sky, all while enjoying the tranquil view of the Rhine. To quench your thirst and satisfy your hunger, visit the wine tent, drink carts, and food trucks scattered about. Parking is limited, so consider using public transportation or cycling for a convenient travel option.
