Woman grabbed a cartridge, departed scene
Fresh Take:
In the courtroom today, witness Yuldash Ruzbakiev shared his account of the tragedy that unfolded in Talgar, Kazakhstan, involving the late Sherzat Bolat. He described the chaotic scene, a far cry from the peaceful town it once was.
19-year-old college student Yuldash recounted his encounters with Nurkiais Ilyasov and Abzal Shynasyl, meeting them at a farm less than a year ago. On the fateful day, he and his friends were socializing near the akimat when they received a disturbing call.
"We were chilling near the akimat in Talgar. I called Kazakenov Arlan over just for some casual chat. A crowd gathered. Then Kazakenov Arlan arrived, we were catching up, and his mother called, saying there was a fight in our Talgar courtyard," the witness stated.
Yuldash, along with his friends, promptly left to investigate. Upon arrival, they found two injured individuals. A crowd had gathered, but it seemed the situation wasn't as severe as it appeared. Just then, a gray Sonata pulled up, took one of the victims, and sped off.
"As we approached, a gray Sonata arrived, took one person, and left. I only saw the second person being taken away. A woman picked up a pink cap and a green object, put it in her pocket, sat in the car, and they drove off in the Sonata," Yuldash testified.
Just as things started to settle down, the police and an ambulance arrived. The crowd informed them about a black Mercedes that had been spotted around. Kazakenov Arlan suggested contacting Nurkiais Ilyasov. They went to meet him, where they found a group of people and two cars – a Golf and a black Mercedes.
Yuldash explained that he didn't witness any weapons and wasn't privy to any conversations, as music was playing. The prosecutor asked if he was aware of the involvement of these people in the incident.
"No. I only realized this when we approached the black Mercedes. In the car, Abzal said, 'Don't tell anyone anything, this is our business'," Yuldash explained.
According to reports, nine suspects have been charged in the murder of Sherzat Bolat, which occurred on October 4, 2024. The trial, marked by high-profile interest and concerns about judicial transparency, has gained significant attention in Kazakhstan.
Witness Elmira Nurbekova, who was with the accused in the case, shared her account of the events leading up to the incident on October 3-4, 2021, in court. However, it's worth noting that, as of now, no publicly available information supports the presence of a rifle at the scene.
Insight: Based on available research, no rifle is reportedly involved in the Sherzat Bolat murder case. The incident is primarily attributed to knife violence and physical beatings[1][3]. If new information regarding a rifle's involvement emerges, it will likely be highlighted due to the trial's high-profile nature and public interest[1].
