Woman critically injured after car crashes into tree on L617

A serious traffic accident took place on the L617 between Hesborn and Liesen yesterday morning. Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 11:35 AM when a car left the road and struck a tree. The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Hallenberg, suffered severe injuries in the crash.

The woman was travelling from Hesborn toward Liesen when her vehicle veered off the road in a left-hand bend. The impact with the tree caused significant damage to the car, leaving the driver trapped inside. Paramedics arrived quickly and transported her to a nearby general hospital for urgent treatment.

Traffic police have now opened an investigation into the incident. Authorities have not yet released details about the cause of the accident or the road conditions at the time. The stretch of the L617 where the collision occurred remains under examination.

The injured woman remains in the general hospital, though her current condition has not been disclosed. Police continue to gather evidence to determine how the accident happened. Further updates are expected once the investigation progresses.
