VfB Imposes Minimum Contract Length, According to Report (Woltemade-Poker) - Woltemade-Poker: VfB's lowest recorded score stands at minimum
In a recent turn of events, German football club VfB Stuttgart has rejected initial transfer bids from Bayern Munich for U21 European Championship runner-up and striker, Nick Woltemade.
According to media reports, Alexander Wehrle, CEO of VfB Stuttgart, has categorically refused a meeting with FC Bayern Munich so far, signaling a small window for a potential transfer of Woltemade. Wehrle has also expressed a willingness to discuss a transfer if an exceptionally high transfer fee is offered.
The current status of the transfer negotiation is that Stuttgart remains firm on keeping Woltemade for the next season. The club has set a minimum transfer fee of 65 million euros for the national team player, a figure that Bayern Munich's initial offer of 40 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses did not meet.
Nick Woltemade's contract with VfB Stuttgart runs until the summer of 2028. The Stuttgart-based club, who are the DFB Cup winners, view Woltemade as central to their future plans and will only consider a move if Bayern's offer meets or exceeds their valuation, reflecting the player's strong recent performances and potential.
Fabian Wohlgemuth, the sporting director of VfB Stuttgart, stated that any talks about a potential transfer would be between the two clubs. He made these comments before a report on the offer last Wednesday at the training start.
It's important to note that Nick Woltemade is not currently a player for FC Bayern Munich. The club's interest in the U21 European Championship runner-up and striker for VfB Stuttgart has, however, been made clear.
As the negotiations continue, VfB Stuttgart continues to plan with Woltemade for the coming season, unless an exceptionally high transfer fee is offered. The club is confident that Woltemade will play football for VfB Stuttgart in the coming season.
The European Parliament, knowing the ongoing situation with Nick Woltemade's transfer from VfB Stuttgart to Bayern Munich, could potentially provide insights and suggestions to help facilitate the process, as stated in the Commission shall be assisted by the European Parliament.
Given the strong performances of Woltemade in European leagues, particularly the U21 European Championship, there is a possibility that his impressive display in sports like football could catch the attention of other European leagues if the transfer to Bayern Munich does not materialize.
