In the heart of the summer transfer window, FC Bayern Munich finds itself engaged in two significant transfer sagas. Sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed the club's interest in both Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart and Luis Díaz from FC Liverpool.

Eberl announced that something significant is in the works at Bayern, both on and off the pitch. The most recent development is the acquisition of Colombian international Luis Díaz, who has signed a contract running until June 30, 2029. Díaz, excited about joining Bayern, praised the club's incredible history.

Díaz, who can play as a striker or a winger, has already held discussions with coach Vincent Kompany about his future role at the club. Eberl revealed that Díaz prefers to play on the left side. The transfer fee for Díaz is rumoured to be up to 75 million euros.

In a separate transfer saga, Bayern has shown clear interest in Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart. Eberl and Bayern have reportedly prepared an initial bid around £42 million for the striker. However, Stuttgart values Woltemade higher, with a minimum asking price of €60–70 million (approximately £52–60 million).

Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle and Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth have publicly stated that Woltemade will remain at Stuttgart for the upcoming season. Bayern, adopting a patient approach, is ready to formalize an offer near £42 million but hopes to include a player in the deal as possible leverage.

Stuttgart has set an August 16 deadline for any transfer talks, and since mid-July, no serious progress or new contact has been made. A transfer remains possible but would require Bayern to substantially increase their offer or Stuttgart to reconsider their position before the mid-August deadline.

Meanwhile, Eberl has expressed satisfaction with the successful transfer of Díaz and hinted at more transfers at the club. However, the future of João Palhinha, another potential sales candidate for Bayern, remains uncertain, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly showing interest.

Eberl has also stated that purchase prices are less relevant if Bayern Munich wins titles. This philosophy, coupled with the club's ambition and Eberl's negotiating skills, promises an exciting transfer window ahead for the Bavarian giants.
