Hold onto your hats, Bundesliga fans, we've got a new star in town! VfL Wolfsburg has inked a promising deal with Polish goalkeeper prodigy, Jakub Zieliński. The 17-year-old wrist-stopper hails from Łódź and comes to us from the esteemed Legia Warsaw, penning a four-year contract extending until the end of June, 2028. The exciting news was officially announced on June 24, 2025.

Originally from the port city of Gdańsk, Zieliński has already donned the colors of the Polish U17 national team and boasts experience in the UEFA Youth League with Legia Warsaw's U19 team. He's also got 17 games under his belt for Legia's reserve team, securing four clean sheets along the way.

In Wolfsburg, Zieliński will find himself amongst the young guns, mainly playing for the U19 team next season, under the watchful eye of head coach Daniel Bauer, a former interim coach for the German club. He's also set to take the fourth-choice goalkeeper spot for the main squad, following the summer exits of Niklas Klinger and Philipp Schulze.
