Wolfsburg Expands Free Home Accessibility Support for All Residents

Wolfsburg’s Senior Citizens’ and Care Support Center has widened its advisory services to help residents create safer, more accessible homes. The initiative offers free, confidential guidance on barrier-free living—not just for seniors but also for people with disabilities, families with young children, and those with special needs.

The expanded service provides tailored advice on structural home adaptations, assistive devices, and technical support systems. Experts assist with both long-term planning for age-friendly housing and quick fixes for urgent accessibility issues.

In addition, Home Depot is collaborating to offer specialised consultations on stairlifts for those with mobility challenges. Their services include on-site assessments, help choosing the right model, and guidance on funding—such as subsidies of up to €4,000. Appointments can be arranged by phone at +49 5361 282848 or via email at [email protected]. The service ensures individualised support for anyone seeking to make their home safer and more comfortable.

The initiative aims to make homes more adaptable for all residents, regardless of age or ability. Free consultations cover everything from minor adjustments to major renovations, ensuring living spaces remain practical and secure for years to come.
