Wolfenbüttel Launches €10,000 Future Prize for Local Climate Innovators

Wolfenbüttel is calling for applications for its Future Prize, a €10,000 award recognizing local sustainability efforts. The competition is open to individuals, groups, schools, and organizations across the city and district. Winners will be announced at the Wolfenbüttel Climate Forum in April 2026.

The Future Prize focuses on projects that support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Eligible entries must address at least one of these goals while making a clear impact in Wolfenbüttel. Topics can range from environmental protection and education to social cohesion, resource efficiency, or renewable energy.

Applications will be accepted until February 28, 2026. The prize is backed by Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, the Curt Mast Jägermeister Foundation, and the Asse Future Fund. The award ceremony will take place on April 16, 2026, during the Climate Forum on Ostfalia’s campus. For questions or details, applicants can contact Sebastian Barnstorf at the Department of Sustainability & Climate Protection via email at [email protected] or by phone at +49 5331 84 7821.

The Future Prize aims to highlight practical, local contributions to sustainability in Wolfenbüttel. Successful projects will receive €10,000 and recognition at the 2026 Climate Forum. The deadline for submissions remains February 28, 2026.
