Wolf sightings near Bonn raise alarms among residents and authorities

A wolf has been spotted in several areas near Bonn, sparking concern among local residents. Reports came in from Sankt Augustin-Menden on Friday afternoon, followed by multiple sightings in Bonn-Beuel. Authorities are now investigating the claims but have yet to confirm the animal's presence.

The first sighting occurred in Sankt Augustin-Menden, close to Bonn, on Friday. Shortly after, residents in Bonn-Beuel reported seeing what appeared to be the same wolf. One local, André Kolzem, claimed to have seen the animal up close and managed to photograph it with his smartphone.

Despite multiple reports, police have not yet located the wolf. The sightings follow a trend of increasing wolf activity in North Rhine-Westphalia. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and encourage the public to submit any further observations.
