Wohlen bei Bern Wins Cyclomania 2025 as 13,000 Cyclists Pedal 1.7 Million Kilometers

The nationwide cycling event Cyclomania concluded its sixth edition in September 2025, with a focus on promoting bicycle use and enhancing cycling infrastructure. The competition saw significant participation and notable performances from various municipalities.

The overall winner among municipalities was Wohlen bei Bern, followed by Cham and Weinfelden. While the top individual cyclist remains unnamed, Cham made a strong impression during the challenge. In the Leimental Plus region, which includes Binningen, 335 cyclists pedaled a combined total of 46,413 kilometers, placing the region 28th in the competition.

Cyclomania 2025 involved 37 challenges nationwide, attracting 13,000 participants who collectively cycled around 1.7 million kilometers. The Cyclomania app, with participants' consent, tracked mobility behavior to optimize cycling networks.

The sixth Cyclomania event successfully encouraged people to embrace cycling, with notable performances from municipalities and individuals alike. The data collected will help improve cycling infrastructure, making cycling a more viable option for daily commutes.
