WNBA Semifinal Qualification: Fever Eliminate Dream, Broadcast Information and Schedule Details

The 2025 WNBA playoffs are underway, with the Minnesota Lynx holding the No. 1 seed and home-court advantage throughout the post-season. The Lynx, who were the WNBA's most dominant team throughout the regular season, will begin their quest for a fifth championship on September 26.

The first round of the playoffs will see the defending champion New York Liberty, the No. 5 seed, face the Phoenix Mercury, who secured the No. 4 seed. The Mercury advanced to the semifinals, where they will join the Lynx and the Indiana Fever. The Fever, who overcame the third-seeded Atlanta Dream in Game 3 of the first round, will be shorthanded due to season-ending injuries, including Caitlin Clark.

The WNBA Finals are set to begin on Friday, October 3, at 8 p.m., broadcast on ESPN and fubo. The Lynx will have the home-court advantage for the first two games, with Game 1 taking place at the Target Center in Minneapolis. The WNBA Finals Game 2 will be held on Sunday, October 5 at 3 p.m., also broadcast on ABC and fubo.

  • WNBA Finals Game 1 (Oct. 3, 8 p.m., ESPN and fubo)
  • WNBA Finals Game 2 (Oct. 5, 3 p.m., ABC and fubo)
  • WNBA Finals Game 3 (Oct. 8, 8 p.m., ESPN and fubo)
  • WNBA Finals Game 4 (TBD, TBD, ABC and fubo)
  • WNBA Finals Game 5 (TBD, TBD, TBD)

The Lynx last won a championship in 2017 and are eager to add another trophy to their collection. With home-court advantage and a dominant regular season performance, the Lynx are certainly contenders for the title. The WNBA playoffs are sure to be exciting, and fans can tune in to ESPN, ABC, and fubo to catch all the action.
