WizTheMc, the artist behind the 2025 global hit Show Me Love, has risen from a small German town to international stages. Born in Cape Town but raised in Lüneburg, he now balances a career between Berlin, Los Angeles, and Toronto. His track’s success even earned him a spot at Coachella and London’s Jingle Bell Ball alongside stars like Kylie Minogue and Jessie J.
Sanele Sydow, known as WizTheMc, was born in South Africa in 1999. His family moved to Lüneburg when he was just two years old. There, he spent his childhood and teenage years, attending a local Waldorf school. He later described the town as both a blessing and a curse for his development.
His breakout single, *Show Me Love*, exploded on TikTok in 2025 before climbing global charts. A remix featuring South African singer Tyla further boosted its popularity, landing him a performance slot at Coachella. By the end of the year, he also took the stage at London’s Jingle Bell Ball, sharing the lineup with major pop acts. Before settling in Berlin, WizTheMc lived in Toronto and Los Angeles. Despite his travels, he remains connected to his roots. He plans to visit Lüneburg for Christmas in 2025 and will return to South Africa early in 2026 to work on new music. His goal is to build on the momentum of *Show Me Love* throughout 2026.
