The preliminary round was divided into four groups, each featuring three teams. In Group A, TuRa Rüdinghausen topped the table with 5 goals and 6 points, followed by DJK TuS Ruhrtal with 16 goals and 4 points, and Portugal SV with 1 goal and 1 point. Group B saw TuS Heven finish as the group winner with 5 goals and 6 points, while FSV Witten and Türkischer SV filled the second and third spots, respectively.

Group C was won by SV Herbede with 4 points, and Group D was led by SV Bommern 05, who secured their spot in the semifinals with 6 points. Elsewhere, VfB Annen and Hammerthaler SV ended their group stage campaigns with 0 points each.

The semifinals took place on August 2, with SV Bommern 05 and TuRa Rüdinghausen advancing after defeating TuS Heven and DJK TuS Ruhrtal, respectively. The matches were closely contested, with SV Bommern 05 edging out TuS Heven 2-1, and TuRa Rüdinghausen securing a 2-0 victory against DJK TuS Ruhrtal.

The quarterfinals saw some dramatic matches, with SV Bommern 05 and TuRa Rüdinghausen progressing after 5-4 and 3-5 penalty shootout victories, respectively. TuS Heven and Hammerthaler SV also advanced, winning their quarterfinal matches 5-0 and 2-0, respectively.
