Folk music legend Heino, known for his cheerful tunes, turns 85 today, Wednesday, but not in the same jovial spirit as before. Reportedly celebrating with his closest friends in Kitzbühel, Tyrol, this birthday marks a poignant milestone without his long-time spouse, Hannelore (1942-2023)[1].

One day prior, Heino garnered a heartwarming visit from his Stoakogler musician allies in Graz.[1] A photograph shared on his Instagram channel reads, "THANK YOU to the Stoanis! You were the first friendly music colleagues not to miss the opportunity to stand by Heino during his tough times in Graz-Mariatrost, Austria. The 'kings of folk music,' along with their wives, attended our church concert."

Five weeks ago, on November 8, Hannelore Kramm, aged 82, sadly departed at their residence in Kitzbühel. The couple, who had been inseparable for 44 years, shared a deep bond. Unfortunately, Heino couldn't be by his wife's side in her final moments. The devastating news reached Him while he was filming a TV show in Berlin[1].

A week later, Hannelore's demise was announced publicly. "Heino and all of us are grieving immensely," stated his manager at the time. He also revealed the reason for the delayed announcement, "It was Heino's earnest wish to bid farewell to his beloved wife in serenity."[1]

Hannelore succumbed to an instantaneous death due to sudden cardiac arrest. Although the news was grim, Heino found comfort knowing she was spared of any pain.[1]

The couple's love story started at the Miss Austria competition in Kitzbühel in 1972, leading to their wedding in 1979. Being his third wife, Hannelore was a constant companion to Heino at numerous events and appearances.[1] They shared no children together.
