TBS is prioritizing the safety of main traffic routes and bus paths, repeatedly clearing them as necessary. However, the responsibility for clearing sidewalks adjacent to private properties remains with the homeowners or those they hire. It's crucial for homeowners to remove snow daily or within a few hours after snowfall, spread sand or salt to prevent ice formation, and clear gutters and drainage to prevent water damage.
Failure to comply with these duties, as mandated by local municipal ordinances, may result in fines or liability if someone is injured due to uncleared paths. During winter service, TBS deploys approximately 130 employees, 16 large vehicles, and equipment specifically equipped for winter conditions. These employees are from various areas, ensuring a swift and efficient response to the winter conditions.
