🏆 Meet José, the Lucky Winner of €252,000 on Cifras y Letras
Imagine walking into a competition to conquer your stage fright and walking out as a jackpot winner. That's exactly what happened to José, a lucky contestant on Cifras y Letras, who pocketed a whopping €252,000 on Monday, June 16th. But his victory wasn't just about numbers; it was about overcoming his fears.
"I thought I was well-prepared," José says, crediting daily practice with the program and the app. "My biggest concern was the psychological aspect – the nerves. But I surprised myself – they made me feel very comfortable, and the nerves disappeared."
Since then, José has been in a state of disbelief. "I've been checking the program's emails multiple times a day, still can't believe it," he admits. The intimate settings of the program helped calm his nerves, making the experience less daunting than expected.
The competition wasn't without its challenges. "Midway through the program, I got stuck, and my opponent was pressing the buzzer," José recalls. "I thought the game was over, but luckily, they missed. Then I saw that I had passed, and I had won!"
But what will José do with his newfound wealth? "I plan to take my parents to Costa Rica, possibly this winter or next," he reveals, adding that he also wants to invest wisely to retire early.
However, Joseph has managed to keep his victory a secret from his family, intending to surprise them with their reactions. "They think I lost, and I told them my opponent was very good and I only lost by a small margin," José explains, hoping his parents won't need to call an ambulance when they find out the truth.
Before Cifras y Letras, José held various roles, from receptionist to airport handling agent, and even a stint as an online shoe salesman for Europe. Currently, he works as a reservations agent at a luxury hotel in his hometown, Sóller, Mallorca.
José is a proud traveller and lover of foreign cultures. He can communicate in seven languages, including English, German, French, Italian, and Swedish. His passion for languages extends to his love for the Eurovision Song Contest. "The songs I listen to the most are 'Dime' by Beth and 'Euphoria' by Loreen," he reveals.
Cifras y Letras, hosted by Aitor Albizua, has returned to television, combining classic tests with new games and a Grand Final where contestants fight for the accumulated jackpot. The competition airs Monday to Friday at 9:30 PM on La 2 of TVE and is also available for streaming on the Play platform. You can enjoy it anytime, anywhere, and even pick up where you left off if you have to leave in the middle. 🤔 So, will you be the next lucky winner of Cifras y Letras jackpot? 💰🤔💰
