Wine Monarch Prepares for Debut at Our Fortieth Online Event
The city of Wuppertal is set to host a three-day wine festival, with the current German Wine Queen, Charlotte Weihl, set to inaugurate the event on Friday, 1st August at 5 PM. The festivities will take place on Johannes-Rau-Platz, in front of the town hall, and will feature a variety of activities, including live performances, show dance performances, and wine tastings.
The event is accessible to the public and will offer a selection of around 150 different wine and sparkling wine specialties from the Rhine Palatinate, Rheinhessen, Mosel, Nahe, and Ahr regions. Winemakers will be present to showcase their products, accompanied by music and shows.
Charlotte Weihl, who was crowned as the German Wine Queen last year, has been actively promoting German wines and engaging a younger audience. As part of her role, she has completed over 200 appointments in Germany and abroad, advocating for German wine regions and participating in wine festivals.
The German Wine Queen's crown has been brought to the Palatinate for the eleventh time by Charlotte Weihl. She aims to interpret her office in a modern way and implement it in a timely manner, focusing on modern interpretation and timely implementation of her role.
The entertainment program includes live performances by "Shabby Chic" from Wuppertal on Friday, "The Woodmen" on Saturday from 6 PM, and the Federal Railway Orchestra under the direction of Alexander Sojka on Sunday from 2 PM to 4 PM. Additionally, there will be show dance performances by the Prince's Guard of the city of Wuppertal under the direction of President Nordhild Neumeyer on Saturday.
Snacks and suitable refreshments will also be available during the event to ensure guests have a pleasant experience. The District Mayor of Barmen, Hans-Hermann Lücke, will be present at the event's inauguration.
