Wimbledon 2025 Finals: Star-Studded Royal Box Favorites

**Royal Box at Wimbledon: A Sartorial Spectacle**

Wimbledon, the prestigious tennis tournament, has always been a hotbed of fashionable spectators, and this year's event was no exception. The Royal Box, a coveted seating area reserved for the British Royal Family and other high-profile guests, played host to a parade of stylish attire.

Deborah Jevens, the Chair of the All England Club, made a striking appearance in a radically cool purple-black-and-white print summer dress. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, opted for a Nehru-collared military-style top and a slightly lighter-toned chiffon skirt, complete with a broad "Sam Browne" belt and mid-biceps length sleeves, and a grosgrain purple-and-green chest ribbon.

The men in the Royal Box were equally well-dressed. HRH Prince Michael of Kent donned an absolutely perfect old-man-bespoke suit offsetting a rich blue shirt, while his sumptuous purple and green regimental tie mirrored the official colours of the All England Club. Bjorn Borg, the Swedish tennis legend, was spotted in a fine blue suit, and Prince Michael's cousin, Prince Michael, wore a suit and tie as well, fluent in Russian, a language not commonly heard in the Royal Box.

The dress code for attending the Royal Box is very strict and formal, reflecting the prestigious nature of the seating area. Men must wear a jacket and tie, while women are required to wear an afternoon dress or an elegant trouser suit. Hats are generally discouraged for women because they can obstruct the view of other spectators, although some royals have occasionally worn them. This "smart" dress code must be strictly followed without exceptions, even for members of the Royal Family.

Notable attendees included Dave Grohl and his wife Jordan, wearing cream clothing on July 2, and British/American actress Sienna Miller, who was present in a cream-background patterned dress. Singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding was also spotted in the Royal Box, wearing a grey and white striped summer sleveless. Mr. and Mrs. Benedict Cumberbatch, Rami Malek, and Sophie Hunter were also present, with Sophie attempting to out-cream Rami's cream attire in a light cream dress.

Conde Nast ueber-editrix Anna Wintour and Tom Ford were a stylish day-date in the Royal Box, while Patricia (Mrs. Bjorn) Borg was pictured wearing a white lace outfit on July 10. Sienna Miller's current boyfriend Oli Green was present in a regulation dark City-of-London/Wall-Street suit, and a gentleman in a cream double-breasted suit made a slight bow towards the Princess of Wales, indicating a courtly posture.

However, the Wimbledon metaphor of strawberries-and-cream is a social buttress for the dairy colorways, but it's not spring right now, and strawberry season is late in England due to the heat waves. The Vikings may never have had strawberries, as they settled in the Hebrides, but the fashion at Wimbledon this year was surely a feast for the eyes.

HRH Princess of Wales, Catherine Middleton, graced the Royal Box at Wimbledon with her stylish presence, donning a Nehru-collared military-style top and a chiffon skirt in a grosgrain ribbon of purple and green. The esteemed All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, host of the prestigious Wimbledon tournament, witnessed an abundance of fashionable attire, as tennis stars like Benedict Cumberbatch, Rami Malek, and Sienna Miller, among others, joined the tennis spectacle, illustrating that sports like tennis are not just about the game, but also about the sartorial surplus.
