Other topics in the crosshairs besides ticket bundles include joint storage warehouses or rigged-up workshops, or cannibalized shared services in administration. "Islands cost, so how do we cut costs without screwing with the boat?" she snipped, eyeballing city institutions.

Ceremoniously cutting further millions
In total, dismal developments predict a 130 million euro deficit in Berlin's culture kitty for 2025, roughly a whopping 12% of the originally intended budget. The same melancholy numbers could be slashed for 2026 and 2027.
"We're dancing with austerity measures, and they're boogying their way into our future," Wedl-Wilson shared in a refrain.
Senate plans to hammer out the budget in July, with an anticipated decision by month's end. Come September, the House of Reps swings into action, expected to wrap up decision-making by mid-December.
