News Article: Racing Preview for the Weekend

Get ready for an exciting weekend of horse racing as several notable contenders prepare for their next challenges.

In the Harry Rosebery Stakes, Tim Easterby's Hanney Girl is a strong contender, having won two of her last three starts. The Pivotal mare, out of a Pivotal mare by Kodi Bear, will be hoping to reverse the places with Temple Of Athena to clinch the victory. Hanney Girl enjoys a 2lb weight advantage over her rival and is expected to handle the ground well.

Trainer Adrian Keatley is hopeful about Chairmanfourtimes' performance in the upcoming race, but he expresses concerns about the ground conditions not being too soft for his horse. This will likely be Chairmanfourtimes' last run of the season.

Another horse to watch is Our Cody, trained by Richard Hughes. Our Cody has shown impressive form, having won its last race, and is expected to handle the ground well.

Meanwhile, at Newton Abbot, Book Of Secrets, trained by James Moffatt, will compete in a 2m1f handicap hurdle. This will be Moffatt's first ever runner at Newton Abbot.

Sovereign View, trained by James Tate, will compete in a 7f nursery at Newbury. Tate's horse ran well at Newbury and is expected to handle different ground conditions. Sovereign View recently bumped into a promising Godolphin winner when second at Chelmsford.

Daneh Of Dandy, also trained by Tate, will compete in a race at an undisclosed location. Tate's horse has been on a remarkable winning streak, with eight winners from his previous 11 runners. Daneh Of Dandy ran well at Newbury and is expected to perform well once again.

Archie Watson's horses wearing headgear have only been 5% successful, but Shine On Me will wear cheekpieces for the first time in a bid to improve. Shine On Me will compete in a race at an undisclosed location.

Valley Of Flowers, trained by Jim Goldie, will compete in a 1m5f handicap at Ayr. Valley Of Flowers won this race in 2022 and 2023 and will be aiming for a hat-trick of victories.

Sovereign View and Our Cody are not the only horses trained by Tate and Hughes that are in form. Hanney Girl, trained by Tim Easterby, is also showing promising signs, having won two of her last three starts.

Interestingly, the average winning Racing Post Rating for the Harry Rosebery Stakes in the last ten years is 101. However, no runner in this year's Harry Rosebery Stakes has achieved a higher RPR than 93.

Lastly, Tim Easterby's strike-rate with juveniles has increased significantly this campaign, with a rate between 4% and 8% from 2020-24, but it has now risen to 14%.

With these form horses and trainers in action, the weekend promises to be an exciting one for horse racing enthusiasts. Stay tuned for updates on these races and more.
